What i teach: how to build websites

• Website building essentials: HTML and CSS – basic to advanced
• Website building advanced: server-side includes, web server configuration, using javascript, site organisation, usability, and searchability.
• WordPress: – basics (how to use it) to advanced (theme building, writing plugins).
• PHP Programming: – beginning to advanced, including database (MySQL).
• GNU/Linux fundamentals – install and use, focus on command line.

How and why i teach

• I teach these things, not out of books and theory, but as practical.
• I have been doing all these things for 20 years as my profession, and still do now on real websites for Tibet. [ here's why ]

What you need

You don't need to be a "techie". You don't need to be super-smart. You do need:

• A computer you can freely use.
• Internet access sometimes.
• Motivation.
• Time.

If you do at least 4 hours of practice for every hour of teaching/reading/talking, you will learn how to make websites.
If you don't – you won't.
Simple as that.

Class schedules

• I don't set a fixed program – i hold a class when someone asks me, and on the topic that people are interested in. So just contact me: by email, phone, through form , on the street, ... and let me know what you want, and what timing is good for you. Then i send a notice around to other people i think interested ... and a class will magically start :)
